What payment methods are available when booking online at flybluecrane.com?

Fly Blue Crane offers a variety of payment methods. You may be offered one or more of the following payment options:

  • Credit Cards: We only accept Visa, Master Card and Diners cards
  • EFT Instant Paymentfacilitates electronic transferring of funds using Internet banking. The electronic transfers are instant and is part of the booking process. 
  • Airport: You may also pay at the following Fly Blue Crane airport offices:

o    OR Tambo International Airport (JNB)
o    Kimberley Airport (KIM)
o    Bram Fischer International Airport (Bloemfontein) (BFN)
o    Cape Town International Airport (CPT)

Can I pay a deposit to hold the booking or can I pay in instalments?

Fly Blue Crane does not offer this facility at this time and full payment is required at the time of payment.

How do I apply for a Refund?

For fares that are refundable, Fly Blue Crane will process refunds in the form of a voucher which must be used on Fly Blue Crane for further transportation.

What should I do if I paid but have not received a ticket?

If paying by credit or debit card, and you have confirmed that you have been charged but not received a confirmation e-mail from Fly Blue Crane, please contact the airline’s Reservations department for further assistance by e-mail - [email protected] or by phone - 087 330 2424 and provide details on the transaction, so that it can be traced and you can be assisted.

Can I pay for someone else using my credit card?

You may pay for someone else only online flybluecrane.com subject to additional security checks that the airline will conduct. If paying for someone else, you may do so via the call centre.

If you are using a credit card (Visa or Mastercard) for payment, you will have to complete an extra level of security check. You will receive a one-time passcode via your bank registered contact cell phone number. You will be prompted to enter the passcode received online. Once confirmed, you will be e-mailed confirmation of your itinerary. Should this passcode not be entered, the booking will be unsuccessful.

Where does Fly Blue Crane fly to?

We fly from Johannesburg to Bloemfontein, Kimberley and Cape Town and back again on all routes. We will be introducing new destinations within the coming months, so please be sure to regularly visit our home page. What aircraft does Fly Blue Crane operate?

We operate two Embraer 145LR 50 seater jet aircraft that are safe, reliable and comfortable.

Our Call Centre number is 087 330 2424, and we are available to take your reservation anytime (UTC+02:00) as follows: 

  • Mondays to Fridays, between 07:00 & 19:00
  • Saturdays, between 08:00 & 15:00
  • Sundays and Public Holidays, between 09:00 & 13:00
Special Passenger Assistance

Acceptance for carriage of unaccompanied children, incapacitated persons, pregnant women, persons with illness or other people requiring special assistance are subject to prior arrangement with the airline. Baggage Allowance

We offer a free allowance for the first bag (up to 20kg) subject to certain conditions and limitations. Excess baggage fees are payable for exceeding your allowance and these may change from time to time. Click to view our detailed baggage policy.

Unaccompanied Minors

We accommodate the carriage of unaccompanied minors subject to prior arrangement with us. Children over the age of 12 may fly alone and any children under this age (but not younger than 5) may be carried as an unaccompanied minor subject to Fly Blue Crane’s conditions of carriage. Food Offering On-board

Fly Blue Crane offers light snacks and beverages on-board which will change from time to time and is dependent on your time of travel. All items are free of charge. 

Pets

Regrettably we cannot transport your pets at this stage, however please review this page from time to time for updates on carriage of pets.

Sporting Equipment 

We can carry the following sporting equipment (subject to the terms and conditions of our baggage policy) if booked in advance. Sporting equipment exceeding 2 meters in length can unfortunately not be accepted.

  • Scuba diving equipment, diving cylinders must be empty and hung upside down with the valve open for 24 hours prior to departure;
  • Cricket equipment - restricted to 1 cricket coffin per passenger;
  • Polo mallets and hockey sticks;
  • Hiking equipment;
  • Bowling woods/equipment;
  • Snow or water skis;
  • Surf, kite and skate boards;
  • Golfing equipment - restricted to 1 golf bag per passenger;
  • Bicycles;
  • Angling equipment - fishing rods must be packed in protective cylinders not exceeding 2 meters in length;
  • Soccer equipment; and,
  • Rugby equipment
